Synopsis: Shortly before Christmas, the surgeon Virieux takes a young Moldavian, Anna, into his family for a few days. Love and jealousy emerge, and then, overwhelmingly, the fear of losing the essential: his daughter Claire, a little, unbearable, piano genius who is suffering from a kidney disease. But music, fortunately, softens the manners.
